Any additionally provided data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. We use the so-called double opt-in process for mailing out the newsletter. This means that we will only send you an e-mail newsletter if you have explicitly confirmed that you agree to receiving newsletters. We will then send you a confirmation e-mail in which you are asked to confirm that you wish to receive newsletters in the future by clicking a corresponding link.

By activating the confirmation link you allow us to use your personal data according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a of the GDPR. Our e-mail newsletter is dispatched via the technical service provider rapidmail GmbH Augustinerplatz 2 79098 Freiburg i.Br. Germany (https://www.rapidmail.de/), to whom we relay the data that you have provided when subscribing to the newsletter. Please note that, in general, your data is transferred to a rapidmail server in Germany and stored there.

rapidmail uses this information for the dispatch and the statistical evaluation of the newsletters commissioned by us. This allows the determination of whether a newsletter mail has been opened and which links were clicked, if applicable. In addition, technical information is collected (e.g time of the access, IP address, browser type and operating system).

The data is collected exclusively pseudonymized and is not linked to your other personal data, direct association with a person is ruled out. This data exclusively serves the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better match future newsletters to the interests of recipients.

If you want to oppose the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.

In addition, according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f of the GDPR, rapidmail itself can use this data based on its own legitimate interest in the demand-oriented design and optimization of its services as well as for market research purposes, for example to determine the home countries of the recipients. However, rapidmail does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to contact them directly or to transfer it to third parties.

For the protection of your data, we have concluded a data processing agreement with rapidmail based on the standard stipulations of the European Commission to allow the transfer of your personal data to rapidmail. Interested parties can request this data processing agreement.
